Dayot Upamecano’s current contract has six months left, and Bayern Munich has been working nonstop to extend it past the summer.
Upamecano is already in the process of signing a contract extension with Germany’s record champions, according to a Bild article. Key statistics have been agreed upon by the player’s representation and Bayern, and a final deal is anticipated soon.
Upamecano, who is 27 years old, will make about €20 million annually at Bayern, making him one of the club’s biggest earners. Tobi Altschäffl reports that the player’s deal will also include an escape clause worth €65 million, which will take effect in 2027.
Upamecano is content in Munich despite interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, who were prepared to comply with his requests.
Upamecano continues to be a crucial part of Vincent Kompany’s team, starting 11 of his 12 league games as Bayern leads the Bundesliga.
